We had a few moving companies provide estimates. a) they were all expensive and b) they all said we could expect to fit into one of the 16ft PODs.

In any event this is a 26ft truck and that man can barely stand on the open space. We got **extremely** lucky that earlier today he happened to be doing a PDX->SF and convinced us to let him haul us north + cancel the POD. Very close to being turbo fucked today.

Good morning everyone.

Well today is the day. It’s #MovingDay. Our van should be arriving around 8:15-8:30 this morning and then it’s off we go.

I am sitting in STBX’s new rental house while a somewhat anxious Octavia cat explores her new home. I have my phone, a thermos of good coffee, and a copy of Leave it to Psmith.

STBX is at the old house directing the movers. I volunteered to help with Ms Fuzzybutt because I know how hectic moving day can be, and I wanted to ease things for her. She’s been brushed with her new brush and she has a can of fancy wet food.
