In the past, a round trip from Indianapolis to Chicago in my old Subaru Outback would take more than 2 tanks of gas. However, with the 2019 Ford Fusion hybrid, I needed less than 2/3 of a tank (about 7 gallons) for a round trip. The Skyway tolls were about as much as the total gas bill. And the adaptive cruise control was great. #hybrid #mpg #fordfusion #driving

I recently drove a car that had Smart Cruise Control technology. (No, not a Tesla.) It was pretty amazing. The car steered itself, and was applying gas and brakes to keep itself at a distance from the car in front on the highway.

I still needed my hands on the steering wheel, but I liked it.

It also helped with the MPG. The computer is smoother than I am with accelerating and braking. 🤣

Er is een fundamentele discussie over aannames bij MPG/MKI berekeningen nodig: De Nationale Milieudatabase (NMD) meldde afgelopen week dat de warmtepomp zó slecht scoort qua milieuimpact, dat nieuwe gebouwen amper nog zouden voldoen aan de MPG eisen. (link)
