As of July 1, 2023 you can no longer purchase passes for MRT Jakarta using digital wallets Ovo, Dana, GoPay, or LinkAja, despite the four having the largest market share combined.

While MRT Jakarta stated that the four companies are always welcomed to revisit the partnership at any time, the core issue is the amount of the fee MRT Jakarta impose to payment partners. Currently Blu BCA, iSaku, and AstraPay are the only digital wallet companies willing to fork the fee.

The majority of MRT passengers use either electronic money cards issued by banks which can also be used elsewhere, or MRT's own single or multi trip cards, but digital wallets are convenient when the cards don't carry enough credits but the cards have their own stack of problems.
