Today, I successfully created my first ever Windows installer .exe package. Using the free and open source NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) I can now deploy an MS Access database with MySql drivers and more, to the PCs in my office, without having to remember all the steps and settings.

Yes, I'm pretty pleased with myself :-)

Translating a query from #msaccess ( :blobcatmeltcry: ) to #tsql in order to troubleshoot something. I'm sure this is an organic evolution of disparate, yet similar technologies, but damn it took me too long to figure out why my record counts were so off.

Da ich mich gerade alleine irgendwie in #msaccess einfuchse habe ich eine DB neu gemacht, die so 2014 mit einer alten Version erstellt wurde. Und dabei so optimiert, dass nun tatsächlich alle Informationen weitergegeben werden: Abgleich erfolgt in beide Richtungen statt nur in eine und der Bericht (!) wird automatisch (!!) per Mail verschickt.

Und ich frage mich, warum das bisher niemand gemacht hat? Warum sind so viele mit diesem "Keine Ahnung, hat man mir nicht/so erklärt" zufrieden? 🤯 #nerd
