Despite that that company *was proactively* patched to protect against the #MSDE vulnerability leveraged by Slammer months in advance.

Unfortunately because of those outliers, some still got infected.

Remediating it wasn't a fire drill at least but it was nontrivial.

Thankfully someone from the libre/free open source community created a #FreeSBIE + #snort + a #Slammer signature.

I could go around to our branches, mirror a port & sniff out offending machines, slowly but surely, cleaning them.

… when I took a closer look at the shared Google Slides that focuses on fancy graphs from Outschool's survey results. Take for example Slide 11 which lists the top 10 #homeschool kids by state and includes #Maryland at #6 with 139,000 #homeschoolers. This is utter nonsense.

I’ve been tracking #homeschool statistics and trends in Maryland for 15+ years and as of June 2022 #MSDE had just under 45,000 homeschool kids. That's more than just an oopsie typo by #Outschool. /3

@melle3 I was just going toot and moan about a ridiculous email #MSDE just sent regarding my #FOIA request from Oct 20th, which they still have not fulfilled. Does that count?
