The VAST majority of readers will skim and read only the headline. The will note that it's in a respected news outlet, and buy the premise of the headline wholesale, never knowing the body contradicts it 100%. Some will point to it in triumph, and some will feel further isolated and gaslit as they suffer.

The press is complicit in exploiting and killing us.

Reading this piece about Murdoch's admission of malfeasance at Fox, in the same breath he lies ("in hindsight, I wish we had condemned it", my pasty ass), and seeing how CNN subtly works as excusing and justifying the MAGAt/Nazi propaganda. There was no chaos as Fox, it's always been sanctioned: that's why the network *exists*.

CNN is FauxNews for people who think they're savvy.
