Mike Stackpole is, to many, the Rogue Squadron guy ... but to me, he'll always be the Mercenaries, Spies & Private Eyes Guy. It's no mystery that my favorite RPGs are _about_ mystery, and MS&PE is one of the enduring greats, still a fantastic choice for mystery, romance and espionage in the modern world, despite being prehistoric in consumerist terms.
