I have the , buttons, wires, cables, and connectors to build my universal arcade-style controller. After some reflection, I don't know which side to put the stick on. The joystick standard is to have the stick used by the right hand. The "fight stick" standard is to have the stick on the left, but that doesn't make sense for right-handed people. I'm not building a fight stick, either. I have always played and with my dominant right hand.

The arcade machine I picked up recently came with crappy 4-way joysticks installed, so I replaced them with the "Ms. Pacman 4-way Joystick" from Suzo-Happ. They are *perfect* and only cost $11.54. However, the minimum order from Suzo-Happ is $50 and shipping starts at $28. You can find them elsewhere from $20-$30 if you aren't looking to stock up on arcade parts.
