A beautiful Friday in the #sfba! I feel so lucky…
The views are a juicy treat— walking around #BuenaVistaPark, with water out there in the distance on all sides, #GoldenGateBridge and #MtDiablo, not to mention #sutrotower and Mr #karlthefog… my oh MY!
And: I’m perceiving some little signals of positive change… and crap too, of course.
I live in a place where people put benches on the side of their houses for passersby to “spend the time of day.”
Now that’s a dandy phrase AND a wonderful neighborly spirit!

Two Checkerspot Butterflies
We took a short hike up Mitchell Canyon at Mt Diablo State Park yesterday. Plenty of butterflies (swallowtails and checkerspots) and some wildflowers too. I couldn't quick figure out which variety these two were. The upper one looks like either a Leanira Checkerspot or a Variable Checkerspot. The lower one looks like a Northern Checkerspot.

I believe this is North Peak, looking towards Antioch from Mt Diablo Summit. You can see why Mt Diablo and adjacent peaks are such important comms sites; they can see forever even though they're not super high (3800 feet or so) #towersites #radio #mtdiablo

Snow on #mtdiablo #sfbayarea . I clearly need that cell that removes unwanted objects from the frame. Bonus points if it would actually remove those neighbors from the neighborhood.
