To say that this is the first survey I’ve completed for them where I gave very low scores to things is an understatement. My disappointment was very evident in my responses.

I caved and got (2) of the #CommanderMasters #Precons : the #Abzan #Enchantress deck and the #Jeskai #Planeswalker deck. Anikthea is everything I want to do in #Magic anyway, and Commodore Guff is actually making me excited for Jeskai for the first time ever.

Pretty sure I’m giving up on trying to preorder any #CommanderMasters product at this point. Of the 3 LGSs near me, NONE of them know what their product allocation is going to be yet, so none of them are doing preorders yet. The set comes out in two weeks!

I can only presume at this point this is not going to reliably get needed reprints into the market to drive prices down in any meaningful way.

So, scoping out the two LGS’s near me, pricing isn’t much better. The cheapest I’ve found so far is $80 USD for the #Commander decks, and $310 for a Draft Booster box. And those prices are supposedly undercutting what the market is suggesting.

Just because the product has Masters in it doesn’t mean it’s worth these prices.

I’m getting the feeling that #CommanderMasters isn’t for anyone. Just checked one of the LGS’ and based on shipping and distribution costs, they’re looking at $100 USD for each #Commander deck. And a Draft Booster box? $400 USD.

#MTGCMM should not be a $400 USD draft product. There is no way that’s valid.

1) #VampireTheMasquerade is at the top of the list. I’ve been struggling getting my #BanuHaqim written for #SeattleByNight this week.

2) #MagicTheGathering and #CommanderMasters are up there. Trying to figure out if/when I can even preorder anything with any of the LGS’ around here.

3) #EurovisionSongContest is next, because why not?!?
