Es ist mal wieder so weit: Zeit für die #MtgArenaStats für das #MTGONE Set.

Hab deutlich weniger gespielt, was neben einem Urlaub auch daran lag, das mir das Set und die Drafts damit nicht so gefallen haben. Und dann im Standard fast immer nur gegen Mono-Rot bzw. Toxic-Decks hat auch keinen Spaß gemacht. Ob #MTGMOM das Ruder rumreißen kann, weiss ich noch nicht.

Mir macht #MTGArena gerade weniger Spaß als sonst. #MTGONE als Draft Format packt mich nicht so recht, dementsprechend wenige (9) Drafts hab ich gezockt, zwar 2x mit 7:x aber auch 3x 0:3. Und Toxic kann ich langsam nicht mehr sehen.

Standard bedeutet eigentlich, dass man die meiste Zeit von Mono-Rot verprügelt wird bzw. Gegner gleich conceden, wenn man selbst on the play Mono-Rot zockt.

Muss mich vielleicht doch mal an Explorer oder Brawl wagen.

Another nice post-work Wednesday draft night. Ended up identifying the open lane and drafted a pretty solid WU artifacts list with both Unctus and Malcator, but the games didn’t quite break my way:

Vs WR Equipment: 0-2
Vs BG Toxic feat. Nissa: 1-2
Vs WB Oops all removal: 2-1

Good fun though, and played a lot of Dandan between rounds, so still had a blast!

A more controlling white-black poison deck with Sheoldred and two black sun's twilights. I mostly cast the twilights early as removal spells, although I did once cast one on a pacified creature purely to fetch sheoldred back from the yard.

Match 2 opponent had both the emperor and thrun so I didn't feel too bad about my bombs.

Red-green value train. Basically get through the early game alive and then just spit out 3/3s and 3/4s forever until you overwhelm the opponent or cast a hazardous blast for the one-turn win. Fairly easy 3-0, though my red-white opponent match 3 put a scare into me. Shrapnel Slingers came out of the sideboard often and the second blast a couple times.

Another trophy with a pretty fun blue-green-spash-red deck. Won my final despite screwing up by trying to use a fight spell to kill a masticore with my two-color 5/5. Wall of text includes protection from multicolored - oops.

I was doing quite poorly in this format as of a week ago but have been on a hot streak, 6 trophies out of 10.

I've tried to do the blue-white artifact thing before, but this was the first time I went completely crazy with it. Pretty much nothing but artifacts and artifact payoffs; on the play and on the attack the opponent just couldn't do anything about it.

Did not manage to trigger Malcator a second time, which was too bad.
