The wonderful thing about living in the Puget Sound area of Washington state was being able to see the majestic always snow capped Mount Rainier in the distance. I hiked the lower trails near Paradise Lodge at Mount Rainier National Park (NPS) and was able to view the Nisqually Glacier (the source of the Nisqually River, which meets the waters of the Puget Sound).
