I use to hike around Bon Tempe Lake. I also use to hike along Alpine Lake up the Catraract Trail towards the peaks and then back down to Lake Lagunitas & BonTempe "back in the day."

Haven't been back there since I moved to the East Bay over 14 years ago. Some good hiking spots here too but nothing as nice as the north side of Mt. Tam. ☹️

Does anyone know the station name or link to the weather station on top of Mount Tamalpais #mttam? I’ve never been able to figure it out, but I’d like to be able to track conditions and historical rainfall up there. On Sunday I participated in the ritual CircumTAMbulation of Mt. Tam, begun by Allen Ginsberg, Philip Whalen, and Gary Snyder in 1965, and now happening every solstice and equinox: circumtambulation.org

It was a ten-hour day up and down the mountain, & the temps were extremely chilly in the morning, but it was a wonderful way to usher in the last weeks of the year and the many holidays that come with them.
