Just submitted two #papers 📄 to this year's #CECIIS conference 🗣️ organised by #UniZgFOI 🏛️, to be held in September in Dubrovnik, HR!

One of them, on #gamification and #sustainability in #transportation is in collaboration with a colleague from #UPV #VRAIN group. The other one is with our PhD student colleague, on #multiagentsystems and #orchestration.

A very interesting post (and video) on the usage of Agent Based Modeling for epidemic. I don't think it's a good thing that COVID-19 becomes the focus of all our sciences (not talking about medicine indeed). Science builds on long time. Still, it is a good occasion to remind that many researcher work on this kind of topics to model epidemics of many kinds in human, animal and even vegetation populations. A good occasion to learn more about it!

An interesting introduction and taxonomy of games and take theory and related domains, including #ArtificialIntelligence and #MultiAgentSystems. I like how the domain is introduced, presenting also applications and extensions, including mechanism design, which is often forgotten, Mean Fields Games, Stochastic games etc. A very accessible introduction, with examples that can be understood even by people who don't know math, AI nor economy.

A truly exciting post on #MultiAgentSystems (more precisely Agent Based Modeling), environmental history, and fire. The researchers show how a lower tree density limits the propagation of fire, through an agent based modeling approach and how the density impacts the propagation in a nonlinear way.

And that's a very interesting point. One of the main topics in #MultiAgentSystems is the way agents organization, and that's precisely the what is the "league" considering of all these agents. It's quite interesting to see these topics used in a somehow different field. Anyway, the article is quite cool and not very hard to read so if you are interested in such topics, I highly recommend it.

Un article très intéressant sur la startup NukkAI. Je dois reconnaître que je suis séduit par l'idée et les concepts mis en avant : explicabilité, #IntelligenceArtificielle hybrides, IA collaborative et compétitive (et donc #MultiAgentSystems). Je trouve le discours sur l'IA symbolique/numérique particulièrement pertinent, et l'équipe, qui comporte un certain nombre de chercheurs, me laisse à penser qu'il y a un gros potentiel.
