Angela Wai-Nok Hui is a #percussionist, #sounddesigner and #multidisciplinary #artist based in #London and #hongkong . She is dedicated to #newmusic and has collaborated with many #composers, musical artists and ensembles including the Royal Opera House, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Abstruckt Percussion Quartet, Explore Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, and more. She is a co-founder of Hidden Keileon, a #multidisciplinary artist-led non-profit that aims to build #interracialsolidarity through imaginative and creative work. Hui is devoted to exploring and expanding the boundaries of music, #performance and #soundart ; she has a particular interest in the creative process, and a passion for experimenting with different artforms through the recreation and reimagining of sound and music. Recently, she has started creating her own work which engages with political references and themes of identity from both places she calls home.

I just got an invitation from an artist initiative back home about joining a residency and exhibition and I am heartbroken that I will have to reject it, as my program does not allow for travel for such a long time (12 days). However, I hope perhaps there are people here who could connect me. I am a multidisciplinary artist, working in media such as textiles, books, drawings, sculptures, and performances.
