Does someone know a good conceptual explanation of the differences between «normal», WL- and BL-cors? Two matrices descr. same dataset: All meaningful covariation is (I think) at same level, between persons. However, they are nested in groups, potentially influencing scores. Hence, I made cor. matrix where «group» is cluster variable, and w/b-group cors are shown below/above diagonal. Coefs in the «normal» matrix are diff. from both. What to report?

Our research group is doing a seminar the coming week, and I've been asked to hold a one-hour intro to quantitative diary studies and analyses for new students unfamiliar with this way of collecting data. I'd like to highlight benefits, when it's appropriate, show an example using and , and start a discussion around how they can do this themselves in their projects.

Does anyone have suggestions for stuff to include, or clever ways to convey it? Resources?
