A wonderful multimedia installation, Antoine’s Organ, by Rashid Johnson is the centerpiece of the Presence of Plants in Contemporary Art show at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in #Boston MA. Hidden inside the structure is a piano, where jazz pianists perform filling the gallery with music. Here are a couple of my snapshots.

Today's reading: Johanna Drucker, *Visualization and Interpretation: Humanistic Approaches to Display* (MIT Press, 2020). An excellent, challenging treatment of what we really offer (or hope to offer) with immersive fly-throughs, fancy interactive maps, etc. In some ways she's in dialogue with, and updating, Tufte's classic treatment of how we can present information better. A rare scholar who can riff off of Heidegger, and also make very practical observations. #dataviz #histodons #multimedia
