1: St Patrick. 1834-c1995
The only one I have ever utilised in its original mode of operation. The dearly departed, mad and wild Doghouse, amongst many other trading names.
2: The Peacock Tavern. 1846-1860.
3: The Black Swan Inn. 1822-1836.
4: The Dog and Partridge. 1834-1860.
The area was also known as "St Giles". It was a lawless and roughouse part of town during it's peak, during the early whaling days of nipaluna/Hobart Town. Inter-pub brawls in the middle of the Junction were not unknown.
