Watching the #uselections2022 unfold brings measures of hope and waves of disbelief. Hope comes in that, despite their misinformation and grubby tactics, several Republican strongholds are being eroded. Disbelief arises out of consideration that - despite (or perhaps because of) their avowed and demonstrated wish to control women's bodies, further racism and undermine the basic democratic principles of fair representation - they have elsewhere found new supporters.

Then, here in #Auspol (and a major reason I'm growing weary of that other site) the #murdochmachine moves up a gear praising the tactics and practices of any successful Republicans as a blueprint for Australian conservatives. Hopefully, we can keep these people in the wilderness a little longer.
