After Blanchetown I finally made it to Morgan. I investigated an old abandoned quarry I was told had fossils in it. I found this bank of pure oyster shells. This is the classic North West Bend Formation, these oysters grew in the same Pliocene estuary as those Fellasters I didn't find.

I'll try and live toot it from my crappy little phone but don't know if that will work. First stop are the Pliocene micaceous sands of the North West Bend Formation near Murray Bridge, where there the sand dollar Fellaster incisa can be found.

I’m feeling happy & content albeit with cold toes. I’ve had my first walk around the Murray this morning in nearly 3mths. It’s one of my favourite walks & an easy one. I felt the smile on my face as I was walked, aware of my really good mood doing something I love & absolutely rapt to see the kangaroos. I didn’t need to rug up as much as I did, it was cold & foggy but I soon warmed up. Can’t wait to make it a regular again. #MurrayRiver #WinterWalks

Known as eukodko / ukodko Aboriginal women would catch them in Murray floodwaters by walking together in a close line.

Had a purely ‘for me’ day today, except for changing my sheets lol, but even that was for me. In the cool of the morning I went for a blissful walk beside the Murray river & loving what nature offered.
