Day 10 of me using a #Muse2-Headband for #meditation & #zazen
On the plus side I learned a bit about how the amount of energy i put into my focus affects the measurements of the headband. I found a technique which reduced my thoughts running wild quite a bit. That's nice.
On the con side it's the most unaesthetic way to practice. It feels wrong to wear, it loses contact regularly, the noise-feedback disturbs inner peace. And the gamification counteracts dealing sincere with my inner thoughts.
So I finally gave in and bought a #Muse-Headband, a #Muse2 model. I've started meditating 20 years ago but never established a consistent practice.
My first 3 sessions with the Muse were stressful. The noise when the band thinks I lost my concentration triggers some kind of feedback loop which makes it even worse. The whole affair is anything but enjoyable.
But: After each session I indeed felt calmer.
Not sure what to make of this. Needs further investigation.
