#MuseApp (https://museapp.com) strikes a good balance between structured and freeform visual thinking. Boards, freehand/typed text, PDF annotation/excerpts and card connections/links. Lots of attention to detail— developed by a team that really cares about creating something smart and usable. Plays nice with others via URL schemes.
Honourable mention: I sometimes return to #ConceptsApp (https://concepts.app/) for less structure, more zoom and free transforms.

Shout out to #MuseApp (https://museapp.com), which helped me through the management and hosting of a three day weekend festival programme. There are many apps for handling PDFs and handwritten text, but Muse is one of a small number of canvas apps that pushes beyond note-making in support of a broad range of active thinking (i.e. not just highlighting ideas, but generating/organising/connecting/managing and acting on ideas).
H/t to @adamwiggins.
