Delighted to manage 90 mins #accordion #practice, mainly trying #musicals tunes I'll do new arrangements of. Also played French #musette, Despacito, #ABBA, Bergerac, Spanish Gypsy Dances, #Scottish traditional etc. Been weaker on my right side since a huge cerebral #vasculitis relapse/ #stroke like thing in 2004. So it was marvellous to do well today. Here's a recording of a #GuysAndDolls tune A Woman in Love written as extra for the 1955 movie. Tentatively played here. #squeezebox #music #neuro

Finally. And it’s gorgeous. I’ve just been playing Sous Le Ciel De Paris, a very famous French musette tune. Despite me not being familiar with the button keyboard. Sitting scanning some sheet #music to copy it for convenience (gathering the #accordion #musette tunes I am mainly playing at the moment from my books of 660 of them into one handy binder of music), and puzzled why the old style #USB #scanner #cable won't plug into my modern #Mac USB-C #laptop. Doh 😜 Not awake enough yet! I did find a dongle. I should probably just order a USB-B USB-C cable sometime! Will do that after finishing the scanning. #Squeezeboxes #Computing

I’d ordered a German published book of Edith Piaf tunes for the accordion. It’s just arrived, so just had a happy first play on my 72 bass box. Starting to learn a totally brand new for me musette tune for the accordion. the Valse Italienne "Volupta" by V. Marceau. A tune picked almost at random from my 6 books of 110 musette tunes each (660!). Am doing very bad neurologically but right hand thankfully cooperating today! P.S. After sleeping for nearly 15 hours yesterday #neuro I'm delighted to have managed some accordion practice today, starting to learn a brand new tune for me, Jeannette by Gus Viseur and Louis Ferrari. Much practice still to do, but good start, especially with neuro lightheadedness! Played on my smaller accordion, a 48-bass Weltmeister Perle I got a year ago as a more compact spare to have at times. P.S. The attached audio is just 229K so I think ok to post here.
