@TeaKayB There's a fair bit of talk around #MuseumEd (broadly conceived) and #InformalLearning on the server.

Even with that, I know I'd still appreciate more connections myself. I'll re-boost once it's working hours here in the US to attempt a better sample.

Did something new with my @romtoronto #museumed students today. I put a piece of paper in the middle of the table, between the #objectbasedlearning objects to encourage all students to contribute rather than one controlling the writing - it worked so well! Students contributed really great observations and were able to construct their knowledge together. Amazing how a simple change of where the paper is placed changes the dynamic! Will definitely do it again! #museums #museumeducation

So the teacher starts wading through his class to get to me and the egg (which I can now see is boiled). All the while trying to figure out where it came from and whether there were any more. He confiscates the egg, while I try not to die laughing

Story time! Taught a Gr 7/8 class today. Doing my thing. Talking. Imparting wisdom. Cracking jokes. When the two boys sitting directly in front of me sproing apart like they had suddenly been yanked. I look down, and sitting between them?

An egg. 🥚

I look at both of them. I look at the egg. Both boys are trying to climb their neighbor in an effort to get away from this egg.

Says I: “Did one of you just lay an egg?!”
