The tiniest mushroom I have photographed: an Orange Bonnet (Mycena acicula), I think.
"Someone" always has to put his fingers in there to clean up before I snap a photo 🙄 . This time it's useful to show how small this mushroom is.

Ik dacht dat dit het oudste paddenstoelenboek was in mijn kast:
'Deze plaatjes staat in een antiek boekje over 'Eetbare en Vergiftige Paddestoelen' uit 1906 door D. Vitus Bruinsma. Het is prachtig geïllustreerd en gedrukt.'

I'm finding a lot of different mushrooms in the garden now, like this pretty thing: Fairy Fingers (Clavaria fragilis), aka Worm-like Coral (C. vermicularis).
They grow in "old, unimproved grasslands which is a fitting description of our lawn.

Most of us chug through our lives being productive in our work and personal lives: raising a family, completing a project, cooking a new recipe, writing a story.
But yesterday, i tagged along to document an undescribed fungi species in the forest near home. My wife found it two days ago on a walk and we took our friend, Kate, back yesterday to collect it for DNA sequencing.
