It’s my second day into substitute teaching. I wrote a lesson plan for my eighth grade music class covering the concept of syncopation since I wanted them to be prepared for the upcoming lesson on African percussion (a popular request). Turns out, only one in the class of fifteen even knows what a half note is. Quite literally everyone else didn’t even know that notes had names (A, B, C…). I have some choice words for my predecessor. #education #teaching #musiced

I am tired and going to climb (literally…. why so tall) into bed and play on my phone the rest of the night.
