Published on Laut & Luise Records (LUL007) in 2014
Another kind of mash up, since the music by DWIG (Die Wiese im Garten) was fitted to the rhythm of the video, quite masterfully.
The video is actually an animation from Disney's "Flowers and Trees" that won the first Oscar for a cartoon in 1932.
To my taste, this combination lifts both ingredients to a new level.

I prefer this version over the album version. I have no idea what genre this is, orchestra triphop?
And towards the end the orchestra plays a theme taken from the "Schwanensee" ballet by Tschaikowski, if I am not mistaken.

Lovely tune from 2018, combining a drum machine and a blues guitar. It was his second single. He is from New York City.
Somehow his music reminds me of Tom Waits, not sure why. Very good production.

Portishead - SOS (Abba Cover)
I love cover versions that manage to add a whole new meaning to a song. In this tune Portishead (one of my favourite bands) cover Abba's "SOS". This song was part of the soundtrack of the movie "Highrise" in 2015 after a novel by J.G. Ballard. I wouldn't have though it possible to turn a song by Abba into something scary, but Portishead managed just that.

Jennifer Lawrence sings this song in the movie "The Hunger Games". I think this remix was a bootleg (non-authorized remix) but it is even better than the original and adds another dimension to the tune.
