#TwoLanes are two brothers from #Berlin (actually, I didn't know that before writing this post) merging #ElectronicMusic and #Piano play into a dreamy (and mostly #instrumental) soundscape. I came across their debut album "Duality" this week and instantly fell in love with it!

Listening to Guns’n’Roses Use Your Illusion I. Still sounds amazing 30 odd years later!
There’s so much complexity (missing in a lot of music) with almost nothing repetitive, instead dynamically morphing in a careful cohesive manner. Take away the sweary lyrics and you could imagine it being played by an orchestra.

Arch Enemy - Not Long For This World

Not Long For This World is the final song off of the album War Eternal. It's a slow, shambling instrumental, and that's great, but that's not why I picked it today. I picked it because the tune around the 1-minute mark sounds like a very slowed down version of It's Gonna Be Me by NSYNC. I'm not the first person to point this out, and others have brought up a few other songs with the same progression. Nobody's ripping anybody else off, it's just a case of a great melody being used by several songs.

AND YET, I will never hear this part without thinking of the NSYNC guys as marionettes from the music video. This is my gift, this is my curse.
