A LONG time ago, I was obsessed with music notation. I had bought the JazzFont before it was bundled into MakeMusic Finale (back when they were Coda). I even bought the SwingFont. And other music fonts.

Anyhow, at one point I bought Graphire Music Press as it's output was just amazing.

And their website is still up, last updated 23 years ago.....WTF

I see, so the numbers show the duration of the note (0=half note, 1= quarter note, 2=eighth note), and capital letters denote which octave ("D" is one octave above "d") "s" is for sharp, so I guess this is an English-based notation.

I guess it would be hard to denote a melody that spans more than two octaves. I wonder what you do for rests.

Crystal Caves

This is a piece I wrote during a 21 day VGM composition challenge. One of my favorite pieces to come out of those challenges, so I made a sheet music video for it. I imagined a mysterious cave with crystals dimly glowing everywhere, providing the only light aside from even softer bioluminescent plants.
