Old music shops - they don't make them like that anymore. This picture dates from 1938 but the shop looked the same when I was a music loving teenager in the 1980s. The company also built pianos, and their instruments were found in every school around here. I last had contact with shop owner / piano maker Mr Knudsen in 2000. He was 90, still working as a piano tuner and kept record of every piano he had ever tuned.

Can anyone remember the name of a #musicshop in the West End of #Edinburgh? I used to frequent this place as a kid to play guitar, the name escapes me. The reason I ask is that I'm sure the really lovely bloke who worked there played with #MikeOldfield at Edinburgh castle. Could be wrong maybe a lookalike. Help!
