Spotlight On producer and editor @qburns and host @lawrenceperyer constantly communicate throughout the research and production of each episode, but they rarely actually speak in person. So when Michael suggested they spend time catching up to discuss some topics of shared interest, the pair decided to press ‘record’ and share their discussion with listeners.

The two had a freewheeling and sprawling talk, filled equally with opinions and laughter. Topics include: how younger music fans shy away from genres, the SAG-AFTRA + Writers Guild of America West strikes, the danger AI poses to the creative arts (or not), and how to think about curation in 2023. Spotlight On is a music-geared podcast hosted by music industry vet @lawrenceperyer and produced by @qburns.
