Testing a more realistic Earth-like planet for the #musicvisualiser I'm working on in #blender

Always love it when people make YouTube tutorials for exactly the thing you want to do. This time I've got #blenderguru to thank.

Though, as ever, the struggle is how to get this looking good in #eevee instead of #cycles . This render is in Eevee by the way.

Instead of attempting something volumetric for the atmosphere I've tried a Fresnel node to fake some blue atmosphere edge lighting.

Something I'm testing out ideas for at the minute is a spaceship cockpit music visualiser that I want to make for my new EP. Rough plan is to have lots of lovely views outside while all the internals dance and flash in time with the music.

So far I've got a better idea of scale, framing and some materials.
