My latest exploration of early photography in Washington State just arrived in today's mail. It's the story of famous (and infamous) photographer Eadweard Muybridge and his little-known 1871 trip to document the lighthouses along Washington's coast. It's in the summer issue of Columbia, the magazine of the Washington State Historical Society.
