There are large caves with fresh water under #Makatea. Spending some time there after a day of activity is a must!

Beginners like me where welcome to take some climbing initiation and could enjoy an easy yet stunning via ferrata.

Next to the zip-line were two abseiling ropes. We descended there twice.

The second one was under the rain, the rope behavior is different very in such a situation: the descent is less smooth, faster, and when it activates, the safety blocking system of the descending device makes you bounce a few meters up and down.

#MVA2023 featured a 200m long, 80m height zip-line.

@krisfreedain Yeah! It's quite a trip (9h of boat from #Tahiti to #Makatea, but it was a fast boat, and over night so we could sleep), but the island is gorgeous and does not look like the surrounding atolls from Tuamotu.

#MVA2023 il mostly about climbing, via ferrata, abseiling and zip lines. Once everything is packed, not much to think about: just enjoy the site 😉
