Been a month or maybe a bit more since I reported a reactivation of Radio Romania Actualitati #mediumwave transmitter in Constanta on 1458 kHz... but since then, they did finally add that audio processor 🤠

In fact, the modulation on 1458 AM is now in line with other RRA freqs, particularly those "modernised" in recent months, such as 1152 kHz in Cluj-Napoca. Signal strength-wise, Constanta is a bit weaker than other transmitters, but that's to be expected due to distance.

1575 kHz (measured 1574.9835): very, VERY weak Quran, and English news just after 0500z TOH. I'm fairly convinced this is Radio Seerah, a 3W (THREE WATTS!!!!!!!!!!!!) Islamic 🕌 LPAM in Leicester🇬🇧, 1607km away. Carrier measured S7 vs S2 noise but remember the audio is usually ~20dB down vs the carrier so in effect this was just on the NF. Ran an IQ recording in the morning. Loud Tay 2 --- errrm, already IDing as "Greatest Hits Radio is coming at 6am" only @ 0430z. Local ads @ 0436 & 0456z incl. dundee.co.uk/costofliving for the #inflation crisis. Who knows when you could hear the Tay 2 name the last time? 5am/0400z TOH? Last week, rashists announced that all power-saving measures on Pridnestrovskiy Radiotsentr (standing on an occupied part of Moldova, right on Ukrainian border) were to be scrapped, and as a result, radio roZZii on 999 kHz would be broadcast 24h/day w/ full power of 1000 kW.

A testament to the plan become reality is the fact that my UK KAZ no longer nulls them, despite it's supposed to.
