Calling all who suffer from Corporate Customer Service -- would you prefer EMAIL to the current phone system?
That is the most accessible way my poor sprained brain can handle. Chat bot is better than playing Beat the Clock on my phone, but both are rough when I'm particularly #Spoonie. If, that is, it's a real chat bot. There's an AI which pretends, and a lot of companies use them.
The odds of getting hung up on seem to increase the longer we are on the phone. So I can randomly lose them and I have to start all over again. This is the world's worst video game, and they already have my money.
Email makes better sense for every customer who chooses it. We have a paper trail, we aren't burning the employees/customer's time with senseless delays, and if they do need an obscure number, we have time to hunt it down and give it to them.
If we have a health/access issue (and I have both!), it's serious.
I just spoke to the NY AG's office to see if "access to the way to get my money back" is covered under the Americans With Disabilities act. It is... when enough people are affected by it.
Are there enough people? I'd like to know. I was thinking I could put up an online petition, much like any #activism campaign. Then I'll file the proper notifications with the NY AG. I can do that.
Reminder: this isn't any AG's office. This is Attorney General Letitia James. One of the reasons I called was to say, "Tell your boss I love her work. Especially... lately!"
