A tale of the day in cigars. First one La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo. Sweet cap but that was all. It was almost two years old and smoked like a dream. Second one currently in progress is La Dueña by My Father. Full-bodied and thick rich flavors. I’m not as nuanced as others at picking out flavors yet, but I enjoy a good aged cigar. #Lunch with #Dad 😊
I share caregiving duties for Dad, with my Mom. We will be getting some financial relief with respite community support workers fees, starting in January. That's going to help me not stress out over household finances as much. I currently pay $400-$500/month for respite help to come help 2 days a week for 2-3 hrs each shift.

I manage all medical & financial matters for my parents. Dad's brain injured & Mom's illiterate.

#mymother asked me whether i would mind her doing less rice then (since my sisters were not coming for dinner). she said it in a way that was also somehow implying that #myfather was napping in their bedroom… [my #dream ended here.]

(so my mother is still thinking about feeding us? haha. it was so very lovely—so warm & sweet—to see her again, even it was only in my dream… #imissyou. #iloveyou.)

part of the #sadness comes from the fact that how #singing & #music are basically #célinedion's life, like she said and as we all know.

also kind of "silly" that it usually takes someone else's #suffering for us to learn about others. #empathy is good but not enough. this makes me question myself, how much do i really understand #myfather's #struggle with his #health right now? i heard #mymother once said if she could, she would take+feel the #pain from my sister…wish we could. i wish we could.
