Today, my world is gorgeous.
Tūī are swooping through the trees, a kererū is bumbling from branch to branch in the puriri, and a piwakawaka is flitting around near my head chirping.
Bliss.

Excited to see calendulas blooming in the garden today.
They've self-seeded for years, but rarely pop through the soil before Memorial Day.
Which means they're still blooming in late October/early November. That's late for flowers to be blooming in southeast Michigan.
One Thanksgiving, I cut calendulas from the garden to make a Thanksgiving centerpiece.
