Today I learned that a "rotisserie" isn't just for cooking meats! A "Rotisserie" is also a tool used in car body restoration. Attach the car to the rotisserie and you can easily reach any part of the car with a quick rotation.
Thanks to the excellent restoration YouTube channel My Mechanics.

I have been obsessing over the YouTube channel "My mechanics". The guy restores antique objects. He seems to be originally/primarily a machinist, but knows (or learns) other skills as each project requires. He's brilliant. He's an artist. And the videos are almost mesmerizing.
One of my favorites is "Broken Rusty Oldtimer Scooter". For this one the dude even learned to cast new rubber parts, using custom molds that he built.

I watched another #MyMechanics video (yes, I'm obsessing!): "1930s Desk Lamp - Restoration"
In the notes he explains some of his process and challenges he faced. Including: "It took me 26 days in the workshop to complete this project." Once again, the end result is amazing.
One of our very favorite #YouTube channels is “#MyMechanics” in which a silent German man refurbishes old stuff. It is so wonderful! I read the captions aloud while we watch because Dave can’t watch and read at the same time, and he shouts things like, “Look, he has a slot cutter!” It is so wonderful to see old tools and equipment brought back to life with such care and attention to detail. Tonight we watched “Seized Rusty Vise” and “1930s Desk Lamp” Try it! https://youtube.com/@mymechanics
