New rabbit hole: making my own bivvy BC it's basically impossible to find one that I fit in.

Few patterns online and the better half is a gun on the sewing machine. Think finding fabric and zippers is going to be biggest hurdle. First step will be finding scrap fabric to build a prototype with 🤔

@richardrathe thanks for the images. I made a #hammock for myself with a removable bug-net (zippers) and I added a tent pole to it to keep it from sagging much. I have a ridgeline, so it really shouldn't sag, but also it's my first #myog hammock so I've been trying different things out. The tent pole, as you've noted, is pretty uncommon, so seeing yours caught my eye.

Made a top tube bag to match. In hindsight, I could have gone for a lightning bolt pattern across the two but hey, pretty pleased nonetheless. Drive-side has a hidden zipper parallel to the seat tube to open fully when required, non-drive has a pocket with zipper between purple and grey panels. #myog #bikepacking #cycling

@bergmeister for sure. With my normal 12 liter running vest I’m limited to an 11x30 1/2 inch pad, my #myog bivy, inflatable pillow, and tyvek (pic below, still useful for luxury dirt naps).

Now I can add my full size 1/8th inch pad, inflatable mattress, and 20 degree (f) quilt 🤗 and still run.

Etwas 2mm Gummikordel, nen Mini-Tanka, ein wenig fädeln, verknoten und abflammen - CHECK

Mit 31g nun gut ein Drittel leichter ☝️

Gibt's zwar schon fertig so von Übersee, aber nicht in Gelb u. dazu noch teurer bis D.

Und über selbst ge' myogt geht doch sowieso nichts 😬

Ein Deckel für den 570 FD #Evernew Topf ist ja so ne Sache.

Der origin. Deckel ist mit 23g zu schwer. Klar.

So nen Carbon-Deckel mit 8g von #RutaLocura, wie ich ihn für meinen 400 FD Evernew nutze wäre fein, aber Deckel machen die schon lange nicht mehr. Leider.

Leichtere Alternativen sind mir nicht bekannt, also dann doch MYOG aus ner Rasiergeldose o. Aluassiette - hmm 🤔

🪡 Made a pair of ultralight fleece leggings today with Polartec Alpha Direct. Total weight 3.4 oz. I love this material. I’ve put 1,500 miles on my Farpoint OG hoodie, so I wanted to try making my own leggings with some salvage material I had.

I didn’t have enough to do a proper pant pattern, but I figured out a workaround that actually worked.
