You guys, I'm only 1 chapter in and I could just cry from her empathy and gentleness. Just being told I'm not a failure for not being able to keep a tidy house, and that I'm still a good person even when my sink is overflowing with dirty dishes ... it feels good. REALLY good.

I often think my heeler would be right at home on an actual farm, but he gets plenty of time to dig and a herding ball to run the backyard with, so I think he's doing OK in #mysliceofsuburbia.

I am a 40yo suburban mom of 4 kids; twins will be 16 soon, boy and AFAB NB, 12yo boy and 9yo girl. We equally adore cats and dogs and have both as part of our family.
I listen to lots of audio books and podcasts, don't watch a lot of movies or TV. Amateur gardener of both flowers and veggies, but my lawn is a disaster.
The kids are into musical theater and 9 does ballet, so I'm learning about that life as we go.
