What really annoyed me about 'Tar' was its tedious premise that successful, high-visibility women in the arts must somehow, necessarily, be mentally unstable. #mysogeny There's some nice music-making, tho, and a lot of nodding/winking to modern/contemporary practice. Fun if you happen to be up on orchestral politics in the C20, otherwise opaque. 4/10 #film

Speaking of #mysogeny, last night I watched an excellent #movie called The Sea Beast.

What I loved about it was that there was a variety of several different races, people with physical disabilities, and female characters in "non-traditional" roles. It was really refreshing to see such great representation.

The storyline also dealt with the concept of the history of war/hatred and its perpetual nature.

Great plot, beautiful animation.
