Gardeners of Mastodon, is this #JimsonWeed ? Because that’s what it looks like when I compare it to pictures online, but… I live in the south-west of England. It's gotten a lot bigger, and has started trying to climb my basil. I still think it's in the #cucumber family, and PlantNet seems to agree, having changed its vote back to #cantaloupe.

However, in a stunning upset, Google Lens has changed its vote to #chayote (aka #mirliton). This is almost certainly wrong.

Human experts have so far guessed: squash, cucumber, and bottle gourd.

No female flowers yet. So we continue to wait.

Mystery plant suddenly burst into bloom today! A year ago I found it in a park area which gets mowed all the time & I stealth-pocketed one plant (all others left there got mowed.)
