It was also issued as the album's #leadSingle, in May that year, and became Harrison's second US number 1, after "#MySweetLord". In doing so, the song pushed #PaulMcCartneyAndWings' "#MyLove" from the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

Something is zelfs de enige A-side single van the Beatles door Harrison geschreven.
Op 4 januari zal hij zijn laatste opname maken voor The Beatles, reeds in 1968 had hij twee redelijk succesvolle soloalbums uitgebracht met name Wonderwall Music and Electronic Sound, en kort deel uitgemaakt van #DelaneyAndBonnieandFriends, maar de solodoorbraak komt er pas in 1970 met het album All Things Must Pass en #MySweetLord als successingle dat hij tijdens de tour
