We have been coasting on the memory of #thenewdeal while also building a myth that the homeless people you see out there must have something wrong with them to deserve their status. They are framed as #addicted and #mentallyill (as if that disqualifies them from compassion)

The idea that you shouldn't help the poor that you see begging is #mythbuilding. It is creating the myth of a just world. The wealthy are virtuous and all had billion dollar innovation, the poor are junkies.
