Our next #MythOff event will have a theme of Colors. I'm currently digging into various mythologies, trying to find a good story with a good color.

So far my favorite is the Phoenician story about the god Melkart who discovers purple dye because his dog eats a murex snail on the beach.

God: "What are you eating?!"
Divine dog: *chews faster* *drools Tyrian purple*

Thursday we had a #MythOff event in Budapest. It's a regular #storytelling show where we tell myths to adult audiences in playful competition. It was Clare Murphy's idea, and I adore everything about it.

I told the story of the birth of Apollo and Artemis: how Leto wandered across the world, finally finding shelter on the island of Delos.

What many #mythology books don't tell you is that Delos was Leto's long lost sister, Asteria, titan goddess of the stars, who fled the heavens to avoid Zeus.

So, the next MythOff storytelling event here in Budapest will focus on myths about water.
I am trying really hard not to refer to it as the Moist MythOff...

By the way, I drew the Adriatic.
