I like the name.
Boundary stones or markers are quite common remnants of the world before accurate mapping. This one also marks the boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire, an important distinction.

Public footpath. Slippery when wet. I managed to stay upright but had a few close calls. Lovely views once you get up some 50 m above the valley floor. #Yorkshire #YorkshireDales #Mytholmroyd #Interrail

Maybe I should buy myself a pair of clogs? #Mytholmroyd The weather has now turned more as predicted, i.e. light rain.
Lovely vegetarian breakfast at #TheBlueTeapot in #Mytholmroyd (Had to double check I got that name right.)
Walkers are Welcome - Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd
The towns nestle into the hillsides surrounded by beautiful countryside. They are great walkers towns with many footpaths, and bridleways to explore.
The moors are high above us and add a stark beauty to the landscape. Calderdale has the highest number of footpaths in the whole of England, well maintained and waymarked by active volunteers.

As we were supposed to be back visiting friends in Hebden Bridge at the moment, here's one of my favourite photos from a past Winter trip to Yorkshire a few years ago. We try to visit at least once a year.
