The spectre of your love haunts me,
coating every single moment in a veil of catastrophe.

I wrap myself in this blanket, pretend it's your arms,
pulling me in for a hug.
I can hear your laughter right in my ear,
I swear it sounds so real.

But when I turn my head the room remains vacant-
just myself and your stifling absence.
And my mind drifts back to our youth, long gone-
this blanket was yours back then.

I always wanted one just like it,
I always wanted to be just like you.

And I suppose that not a lot has changed, because when I work up the courage to visit your grave,
I still find myself wanting to be just like you.
