The brand new rescan for CVG 176 - July 1996 (UK) has just been added to the preliminary magazine catalogue.

As always, this version has not gone through the full restoration process, so it will look a bit rough compared to the old, fully edited one.
But with this rescan, the colour values and shadow detail, as well as overall fine detail is improved quite a lot.

Last night I found a texture tech demo for the N64 that is super impressive. It looks like bump mapping on the floor of the first pic. (I know it’s not) It’s outputting in the 480i mode and I upscaled it to 1080p via the Framemeister. This is all running on a real #N64 btw. Pretty awesome. #retrogaming

I watched a Goldeneye TAS recently that features a fun part: James Bond inexplicably grows a third hand (two hands operating his wrist laser, one holding a gun) on the train level (specifically, the part where you have to shoot out the floor panel to escape)

I like to imagine that he didn't actually grow a third hand, but rather wedged the gun into his left armpit and let loose, leaving his other hands free lmao

Hiya it's a me SpongeToo and I'm proud to say that I did texture design for B3313 Unabandoned Hotfix and I gotta say that I did a good job doing that. With this hotfix the ROM is 100% "dumped" with no holes and almost no padding, meaning that anyone could get it and play it on an emulator. No N64 sadly. More fixes are on this video https://youtu.be/WEdeLBWq9Xs and more stuff in the replies.
