"Woman Putting On Her Stockings," Pierre Bonnard, 1893.

I love Bonnard. He was a Nabi, a group of post-Impressionists who embraced intimate scenes, color and pattern, and simply being decorative. They believed art could be meaningful and be attractive to the eye. The Nabis are often overlooked but I think they are worth investigating.

"Laziness (La paresse)," Félix Vallotton, 1896.

A nude woman relaxes on a bed, reaching out to a playful cat. Vallotton was one of the Nabis, a school of art I love. This woodcut is a great example of the Nabi love of pattern and intimate scenes. This is the sort of lazing we all love to do.
